Meet the 2020 Covid Relief Team

His Hands His Feet is overjoyed to be sending a team of 12 volunteers from Texas, California, Oregon and Florida to partner with Sus Hijos in bringing the hope of the Gospel to El Salvador from December 27, 2020 -January 4, 2021. This is our one and only 2020 team in light of Covid shut downs. Covid numbers are low but El Salvador has suffered tremendously this year due to intense government restrictions, hurricanes and flooding. Our awesome Covid relief team will be building a home for a family in need and delivering food and encouragement to low income communities as well as men, women and children struggling to survive while living on the streets of San Salvador. We are also honored to be able to deliver hope to children through our “drive by” orphanage visits and we’re thrilled to be throwing a huge Christmas celebration for 600+ children living in a needy community. For most of these children, this will be their only Christmas gift. We can’t wait to hear the laughter and see the joy on their faces as the gifts are unwrapped and the powerful message of Jesus is shared!
Our team is grateful for the gift of Zoom as we gather together online for team meetings. The photo above shows team members in four states and two countries! We’re incredibly grateful for your support and encouragement as we prepare to serve. The team still needs $3600 to cover all ministry costs. Gifts can be made through the “donate” link on our website. We are also collecting watches and wallets to give to teenagers at the Christmas party. Gifts can be delivered or mailed to any of our team members. Please pray that all team members will pass the mandatory PCR Covid test and that all testing paperwork will be processed correctly before travel.

Please pray for our ministry parters, Sus Hijos, as they prepare to host our team. They are working diligently to collect Christmas gifts, preparing for our construction project and organizing the trip itinerary. The photo below was taken at a recent Sus Hijos board meeting at the Sus Hijos States Diner, which employs young men and women who are transitioning out of orphanages.
