The Lighthouse 2019 Team - Our Biggest Team Ever!
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers in to his harvest field.” - Matthew 9:35-38
His Hands His Feet is thrilled to be taking 36 team members from TX, AL and CA to serve in El Salvador from July 20-27. This is our largest team yet! We were amazed when over 40 people attended our first informational meeting in January. The Lord is definitely raising up workers to go into his harvest field!
This team has worked incredibly hard, organizing three large fundraisers. Lighthouse Christian Fellowship hosted a successful yard sale as well as a bake sale. We also held a restaurant fundraiser this week at a local Tex Mex restaurant.
Please pray for the team as they continue to fundraise for the remaining $10,000 needed to cover all of the ministry and travel costs. This team will be building a home for an impoverished family, serving in a local church, visiting orphanages and delivering meals to the homeless community living on the streets of San Salvador. Almost half of the team members are middle school and high school students. Pray for safety, health and team unity as the team prepares to serve.
