Crean Lutheran High School Team Meeting
Last night the Crean Lutheran High School (Irvine) El Salvador team gathered at the Ramos' home for dinner and our first official "all team" meeting. The students have already been meeting during lunch breaks at school and this was our first opportunity to gather as a team outside of school. We had a wonderful time getting to know each other and hearing how God has led each team member to serve in El Salvador this summer. We are thrilled to have two returning team members this July. Both Stephen Keenan and Amanda Deal will be serving in El Salvador for the fourth time this summer. Click on the following links to read inspirational articles printed in The OC Register last year about both Stephen and Amanda's personal experiences in El Salvador:

Jenni Ramsey will be co-leading the team and this will be her ninth time serving in El Salvador. To read about the Ramsey family's calling to El Salvador, click on the following articles:

Although it was not intentionally planned this way, all of the students are high school athletes and our team will be privileged to host sports clinics at the orphanages this summer. Crean Lutheran High School girls' basketball coaches David Anderlik and Lindsey Warneke are co-leading the team and we are blessed with a wonderful group of gifted students who are ready to serve through sports, music, crafts and loving on children!
Please pray for the high school students as they raise funds for the trip. Our airline tickets need to be purchased in two weeks and many of the students feel overwhelmed by the funds that are needed. We will be launching an Avon fundraiser this week. Pray that the students will be diligent to share their needs with family and friends. We will also be hosting a garage sale on Saturday, May 17 in Lake Forest. Stay tuned for details!
We are excited to announce that the Dorren family from Chicago has joined our team. Mike and Sherri are thrilled to be bringing their daughters (ages 12 and 16) on their first missions trip to El Salvador! Our team has now grown to 18 team members!
