Remembering Ben Keenan
Our dear friend and brother, Ben Keenan, went to be with the Lord this Friday, July 1st after battling cancer. Ben's daughter, Stephanie and grandson, Stephen served on our El Salvador team last summer and are ministering on our team again this July. Both Stephanie and Stephen had life changing experiences during their trip last year and it has been a blessing to watch their passion for El Salvador grow. Stephen will actually spend three weeks in El Salvador (serving alonside our missionary partners, the Ackermanns), returning two weeks after the rest of the team.
Stephanie and Stephen are traveling to El Salvador next week in their father and grandfather's footsteps! Ben served the people of Guatemala on many short-term missions trips and is deeply loved and honored among the Guatemalan community that he served. He also served the local Southern California homeless community faithfully for many, many years. Ben was extremely compassionate and shared his love and faith with everyone that he met. He will be dearly missed.
We will be honoring Ben's life this Thursday, July 7, during a memorial service at The Village Church of Irvine, 77 Post in Irvine. The service will be held at 10 a.m. Please pray for the Keenan family as they grieve this tremendous loss. Pray also for Stephanie and Stephen as they serve orphans and the homeless community of El Salvador in Ben's memory next week.
